Le directeur artistique détermine les attentes des consommateurs pour les années à venir, en termes de couleurs, d’imprimés, de formes et fournit des études aux fabricants de produits de grande consommation ou de luxe. Il est en charge de la veille tendance et est garant de l'image de marque de l'entreprise.

Collaborateur du créateur de haute couture, le directeur artistique traduit en images le message que son client veut faire passer dans le cadre d'une campagne publicitaire. Il s'emploie à harmoniser les différentes lignes de produits (vêtements, accessoires, etc.) d'une maison de couture.

Le directeur artistique est un créatif qui met en forme l’aspect visuel d’une publicité, d’un magazine, d’un livre, d'un site internet, etc. Responsable de l'identité d'une marque sous tous ses aspects, il définit la charte graphique, son déploiement visuel et sa déclinaison sur plusieurs médias.
Quand il est senior, il choisit les illustrateurs, les photographes et dirige les maquettistes.

- Confidently create and deliver 360 content campaigns across multiple touch points.
- Collaborate with creative director, designers, project managers and other cross functional departments to create a range of brand content and campaign deliverables.
- Lead (creative) photo and video productions, interacting with internal and external partners with clarity and professionalism.
- Presents design concepts to senior leadership in Creative and Marketing determining the scope of projects and delivering the desired storytelling.
- A bachelor (4 year) degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of design experience in an agency setting or design department is required.
- Deep knowledge of graphic design and typography
- Fluency in current advertising, design, and fashion trends expected.
- Exceptional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience commissioning and working with photography - from initial concept references to final execution.
