LISAA student Bradley Morrissey wins an award in a Californian competition
LISAA Paris Graphic Design student Bradley Morrissey had the opportunity to participate in the Dissidence Coalition competition, organised in the United States by Dissidence Scooter Shop—a unique and unforgettable experience.
A competition in the United States
For 10 days, LISAA Graphic Design Paris student Bradley Morrissey roamed the streets of Los Angeles and San Diego armed with his camera. Behind the lens were the riders Auguste Pellaud, Maxime Bouzid, Lucas Di Meglio and Cameron McRobbie. The team took part in the Dissidence Coalition scooter video competition, organised by Dissidence Scooter Shop. Every year, the competition brings together the 40 best scooter riders of the moment, as well as 10 videographers. For 10 days, the teams set out to make the best video. They are judged on the tricks performed by the riders as well as on the quality of their framing, editing, music, motion design, etc.
This LISAA Paris student edited his video in just one night!
Bradley Morrissey, a master’s student in animated media artistic direction, is undertaking his block release training at Dissidence Scooter Shop. Having previously studied Motion Design at LISAA, Bradley Morrissey learned skills that allowed him to incorporate "a maximum of graphics into our video," he explains. And he succeeded—the team came in third place in the competition, winning $1000 as well as, above all, "good times and a head full of memories!"
An unforgettable experience
There was the prize, of course, but above all this was an incredible experience for the young student who had participated in previous years of the competition. "This was by far the craziest," he says. "I spent 10 days filming the best spots on the planet, in California!"
As part of this unique experience, there will be a preview screening at a cinema in San Diego—a golden opportunity!
